Debjani Chatterjee MBE writes for children and adults. Her more than 65 books include: poetry, short fiction, non-fiction, plays, and literary translations. She has also worked in industry, education, the voluntary sector and the NHS, as a marketing manager, community relations director, teacher, lecturer, mentor and arts psychotherapist. She communicates her love for effective writing with passion and pleasure. Debjani was a RLF Fellow at York St John and Leeds Trinity universities, and has had writing residencies, e.g. at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Kelvingrove Museum and Galleries, and Ilkley Literature Festival. An experienced editor of magazines and anthologies, she has run writing workshops for organisations such as the National Trust, Bengali Women’s Support Group, and British and international universities. She has particular expertise in diversity issues and mental health.
