An award-winning poet and translator, Duncan Forbes writes poems and essays and has now published six collections of poetry. He is an experienced teacher of English Language and Literature in secondary schools and has worked with students at Worcester University to improve style, accuracy and expression. Through close comment on practical examples, he has helped groups and individuals, such as social workers, report-writers, minute-takers, artists and makers of craft items, to improve their written English in various workshops and venues in Bedford, Leicester, London, Gloucestershire and Buckinghamshire. A classicist by training, he is particularly interested in encouraging clarity and precision as well as liveliness and flair in writing. He also has a legal background in trade mark agency and has run courses in creative writing. He is a fellow of the English Association and an RLF Consultant Fellow.
