Dr Kerry Young is the author of three novels. She offers organisation-based workshops focussing on writing reports, assessments, project proposals, funding bids, service plans, etc. Recent clients have included Coventry and Leicester City Councils, NHS Trusts such as Birmingham and Leicestershire, charities and community companies and organisations: Plas-y-Brenin, Soft Touch Arts, Gateway Family Services, Healthwatch, Workers’ Educational Association. Kerry was previously involved in youth work and was RLF Fellow at the University of Sheffield. She also teaches creative writing. Her books have been variously shortlisted, longlisted or nominated for the Costa First Novel Award, the Commonwealth Book Prize, the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature, the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and the East Midlands Book Award.
