Martin Symington is a freelance journalist and author who specialises in travel. He has developed and delivered workshops for charities and local government, including Creative Youth Network and Bristol City Council. He firmly believes that enhancing the clarity of what individuals write by building on existing strengths can benefit their careers. Martin spent two years as an RLF Fellow at the University of Reading and has also tutored adult-education courses in the art and craft of travel writing at the University of Bath. His print journalism has won numerous awards and he has contributed to magazine programmes on BBC Radio 4. His books include Sacred Britain: A Guide to Places that Stir the Soul.
