Mary Colson is a writer of children’s non-fiction and has run workshops with business organisations including Entrepreneurial Spark, and with social services, schools and charities. A former scriptwriter Mary uses genre and narrative to help clients shape their organisation’s stories in a consistent style for a full range of purposes. Whether they are writing mission statements, portfolios, reports, blogs or websites, Mary helps her clients become more confident and effective writers through training that emphasises communication as well as clarity and voice. She was an RLF Writing Fellow at the University of York and has taught English in secondary schools for more than twenty years. She is an academic copy-editor for Cambridge University Press in both English and French, and has more than 50 publications to her name.
