Sarah LeFanu is a distinguished biographer and radio dramatist who has run workshops for a variety of charities and public sector bodies, including the NHS. She spent her early career as a publishing editor, and is particularly interested in helping people to revise and redraft their written communications to make them more compelling and effective. She was an RLF Fellow at the University of Exeter and subsequently at the University of Bristol, where she now teaches English Literature and Community Engagement. For six years she was Artistic Director of the Bath Literature Festival, and she continues to chair events for them and for other festivals. Her books include biographies of the writer Rose Macaulay and of Samora Machel, first President of Mozambique.
